Apart Not Alone: Support for Serving Families now open for applications

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust has launched its Apart Not Alone: Support for Serving Families programme.

As part of the programme, the Trust will award grants between £5,000 and £15,000 to projects that help mitigate the impact of both long and frequent involuntary separation for families, spouses, children and serving Tri-Service personnel, including Reservists.

Involuntary separation has a significant impact on both serving personnel and those they leave behind at home. This family-focused programme is a result of a public consultation in 2023, which found that reducing stress and challenges for Armed Forces families was a key area for the Trust to focus on. Apart Not Alone is open to applications from UK-based registered charities, Community interest Companies (CiC) with experience in supporting Armed Forces families and Armed Forces units or bases.

The Trust is offering grants to projects that will substantially improve the quality of life and address the needs of Armed Forces families impacted by involuntary separation both now and in future, with an emphasis on those that focus on improving mental health and wellbeing, access to support and activities, or which support the reintegration of returning Service personnel back into their family homes and units.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 25 September 2024 at noon. To find out if you are eligible and to apply, visit the Covenant Fund website.
