Supporting children and young people of Armed Forces families
Local authorities have a responsibility to comply with the Armed Forces Covenant Legislation, providing ‘due regard’ for the children and young people of Armed Forces families (Serving and Veteran) across education.
On Tuesday 24 October (16:00-17:00hrs) an Education Scotland Event webinar will offer teachers and staff from schools and early learning centre (ELC) settings a chance to learn more about, and be introduced to, the lived-experience and education journeys of Armed Forces families.
The webinar will be hosted in collaboration with Carolyn MacLeod MBE, ADES National Education Officer, who runs Forces Children’s Education.
The session will include conversations with professionals who have worked with Armed Forces families and can provide relevant knowledge, experience and useful information.
