Marking 100 years of the Poppy Appeal

Poppy Scotland's special edition poppy with 100 printed on the petals

They are our most poignant symbol of Remembrance, with millions produced and sold across the country every year.

The humble poppy has helped to raise vital funds to support the Armed Forces community since the inception of the Poppy Appeal in 1921.

Now, as the appeal marks its centenary, there are many ways you can contribute to this worthy cause.

Poppy sellers will once again be on our streets after pandemic restrictions in 2020 meant they were unable to meet the public in person.

An anniversary special poppy is being sold this year, with ‘100’ printed in gold on the leaves.

Poppies are available in supermarkets and many local shops. You can also donate online at www.poppyscotland.org.uk
