Remembrance Sunday will be marked on November 14 this year, when the nation comes together to honour the brave service and sacrifice of all of those who have defended our freedoms.

Commemorations were largely online last year due to the pandemic but a number of physical events are due to go ahead this year, giving Scots across the country the chance to pay tribute in person to our serving, reservist and veteran Armed Services and their families, and honour those who have served in the past.

The period of official remembrance lasts for three weeks, with Remembrance Day itself on November 11.
