Careers Service review appeals for input from Armed Forces young people
Armed Forces children and young people are being asked to help improve Scotland’s careers services.
Skills Development Scotland (SDS), the national skills agency, is embarking upon a review that will capture and respond to the opinions, needs and experiences of young people, parents, employers and educators.
This collaborative and evidence-based study aims to ensure that careers services are fit for purpose and future-proofed, and will provide recommendations for the implementation of services across Scotland in line with the Scotland’s Careers Strategy – Moving Forward report.
As part of the Career Review, SDS would like to speak to children and young people from the Armed Forces community, in a bid to better understand their experiences of the career system.
The review will also look at best practice and innovation from around the world. SDS is hoping to present final recommendations to ministers this December.
