Big thank you to all teachers!

Teachers are at the heart of our communities. They play a vital role in nurturing children and their families, leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come.
That’s why 5 October is an annual date dedicated to celebrating their achievements and thanking them for all their hard work, their support and dedication.
Established by UNESCO in 1994, World Teachers’ Day highlights the essential role that education professionals play in all of our development and growth.
This year, World Teachers’ Day celebrations will centre on the theme ‘Recasting teaching as a collaborative profession’.
Carolyn MacLeod MBE, the ADES National Education and Transitions Officer who runs Forces Children’s Education, is a former teacher who works with local authorities, schools, children’s services and the Military to enhance policy and practice for children and young people from all Armed Forces families in Scotland.
“I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank the teachers and education professionals who support children and young people, particularly those from Armed Forces families,” said Carolyn. “It’s an honour to be entrusted with responsibility for children and young people of Armed Forces families across Scotland and at Forces Children’s Education, we are delighted we can offer resources to support families and teachers across the country, and beyond.”
Forces Children’s Education has several guidance documents to support all education professionals, and we are always looking to add more.
