Celebrate Armed Forces Week 2024

Armed Forces Week 2024 is fast approaching and activities are being planned around the country to celebrate and give thanks to our Military personnel and their commitment to keeping us safe. It all culminates with Armed Forces Day on Saturday 29 June.

The week-long show of support provides a valued boost to all Military personnel – Serving, Veterans, Ex-service, Reservists – and their families.

Reserves Day

Wednesday 26 June will be Reserves Day –celebrating Reservists who balance their civilian life with their Military career, giving up their spare time to serve as part of the Armed Forces.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has created a downloadable employer toolkit to help people plan their internal and external communications to celebrate Reserves Day.

The toolkit includes information on the day, ideas on celebrating and championing your reservists, and access to branded assets and logos.

The toolkit and resources can be downloaded from the Armed Forces Day website here.

Armed Forces Day

The culmination of the week is Armed Forces Day, which takes place on the last Saturday of June,

The day also marks the culmination of a week of celebrations of Service personnel, Reservists, Ex-Service, Veterans, and their families, beginning on Monday, 21 June, when the Armed Forces Day flag is raised on buildings and landmarks across the UK.

There are lots of ways communities and organisations can show their support, by hosting or joining in at an event.
