Free activity sheets for families and educators
April is the Month of the Military Child (MotMC) – and our friends at Little Troopers have a host of fun resources for families to help mark this special time.
Activity sheets can be downloaded, as can assembly planners for teachers and schools.
There are mindfulness colouring pages, poems and recipes to enjoy. Little Troopers also created an ‘X-Ray of Feelings’ poster about being an Armed Forces child, which has been kindly provided for download here, too.
The activities on offer from Little Troopers focus on MotMC’s dandelion theme. The dandelion is the official flower of the military child because while its seeds can be blown far, it always plants roots and blossoms wherever it lands.
You can find the activity sheets on the Little Troopers website (littletroopers.net) You can also share your Month of the Military Child celebrations on social media using the hashtag #MotMC
We have lots of useful guides for families of school-age young people in our Families section.
More for Educators
Our Educators section is filled with valuable information for teachers of Forces children across Scotland.
