Exam results support for Scottish pupils

An old style rotary telephone with a label stating 'exam results helpline' on the front.

To ease exam-related stress and anxiety, a dedicated results helpline will open in Scotland.

Skills Development Scotland (SDS) will launch its helpline from results day on Tuesday 5 August until Friday 8 August.

Pupils and their parents and carers can call 0808 100 8000 for guidance and support. The helpline will remain open from 08:00 to 20:00 on 5 and 6 of August and 09:00 to 17:00 on the 7 and 8 of August.

SDS provides professionally qualified careers advisers every August to offer career information, advice and guidance to Scotland’s young people and their parents and carers as results come in.

Whatever your results, sometimes it’s best to reach out and get more information and encouragement.
If you are a parent or carer, find out more about how to help your child when SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) results arrive by visiting My World of Work.
