Veteran ID Cards to launch
The Ministry of Defence and the Office for Veterans’ Affairs will soon offer all service leavers a new ID card to mark their time in the Armed Forces.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the Veteran Cards will have two primary functions. The first is to ensure Veterans can easily and quickly verify their status to access public and charitable sector support if they need it. Secondly, the cards will act as a way to provide a recognition of service in the Armed Forces.
Following a successful trial, the cards are set to launch at the end of this month (January 2024).
